SCOTTISH RUGBY CHECK IN WITH APEX

Scottish Rugby is delighted to announce that Apex Hotels will once again be the Official Hotel of the Emirates Airline Edinburgh 7s, which are being held at Murrayfield on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June as the climax of the IRB World 7s Series.

Some 16 international teams will be hosted in the city and their healthy appetites will see Apex provide some 2,700 slices of toast and 330 pints of milk just for breakfast alone.

Apex Hotels are the UK’s leading operator of four-star, contemporary hotels. Based in Edinburgh, the company operates the Apex City and Apex International in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket, in addition to owning/operating the Apex European in Edinburgh’s West End, the Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa in Dundee and the Apex City of London.  Three new hotels are planned in Edinburgh and London, opening 2009.

Angela Vickers, Managing Director of Apex Hotels said: “Apex Hotels are delighted to be the Official Hotel of the Emirates Airline Edinburgh 7s for the second year running. We expect the event to be an even bigger success than last year and look forward to welcoming back players, fans and visitors to Apex Hotels in Edinburgh.”

Gordon McKie, Chief Executive of Scottish Rugby said: “Scottish Rugby is very pleased once again to have the teams enjoy the top class facilities of the Apex International Hotel. The feedback from last year’s event was excellent and we had no hesitation in extending our relationship with Apex Hotels for another year.”
