Festival of Rugby

As part of the Emirates Airline Edinburgh 7s Festival, Murrayfield will be hosting a large rugby festival on both days, on the new training pitches at the stadium.  Teams from across Scotland will be taking part in a variety of competitions.

The 7s Festival is a flagship event for Scottish rugby and takes place as part of the IRB Sevens World Series, with elite teams including Scotland playing over the same weekend.  Participants will get an opportunity to cheer on Scotland from the track by the Murrayfield pitch and may even get to play on the main pitch during the day, or see themselves on the new big screens.

Competition Information
Each team taking part in the festival will be sent information including arrival times, registration details, competition rules and any other relevant information such as where to change and what to bring.

First Aid and medical cover for participants will be available and provided by Scottish Rugby.

Supporters & Family
Participating teams are encouraged to bring along as many supporters as possible, who will need to purchase a ticket to the event.  However, Scottish Rugby has provided clubs and schools with an opportunity to generate some funds from sales of these tickets in advance.  For further information, contact the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre on 0131 346 5100.

Family Activities
Murrayfield will be jam-packed with fun things to do and try, including the rugby skills zone, face-painting, inflatable games and fresh food stalls, including the ‘Foods from Argyll’ Farmers’ Market.

Further informaiton about the 2010 Festival will be available shortly.
